| Hamburg zählt zu den wichtigsten
Wirtschaftsstandorten in Deutschland und genießt als Handels-, Verkehrs- und
Dienstleistungszentrum bundesweit ein hohes Ansehen. Der Hafen Hamburg und der
Hamburg Airport sind wichtige Wirtschaftsfaktoren und vernetzen die Freie und
Hansestadt mit den Märkten der gesamten Welt. Die Wirtschaft der Metropole Hamburg hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren exzellent auf die Globalisierung eingestellt. Zu den wichtigsten Wirtschaftszweigen gehören heute die Konsumgüterindustrie, die Luftfahrtindustrie, die Logistik, die Chemie, die Elektrotechnik, der Maschinen- und Schiffbau, die Mineralölwirtschaft sowie IT und Medien. Daneben ist Hamburg Garant für Lebensqualität. Das Freizeit-, Sport-, Unterhaltungs- und Kulturangebot entwickelte sich in den vergangenen Jahren überdurchschnittlich und führte zu kontinuierlich steigenden Einwohnerzahlen und zu Unternehmensansiedlungen. Neue Attraktionen sorgen für eine dynamische Entwicklung im touristischen Bereich. Hamburg hat seine Potenziale erkannt und wesentliche zukunftsweisende Maßnahmen für einen stabilen Wachstumskurs ergriffen. In der vorliegenden Broschüre wollen wir die Hamburger Wirtschaft skizzieren. Eine Auswahl Hamburger Unternehmen und wirtschaftsnaher Organisationen präsentieren sich mit ihren Produkt- und Dienstleistungsangeboten. Darüber hinaus wollen wir zeigen, dass die Metropole Hamburg im Wettbewerb der Standorte sehr gut aufgestellt ist, sowohl in Bezug auf die harten Standortfaktoren als auch auf weiche, wie Kultur- und Freizeitangebote. Unser Ziel ist es, allen Menschen zu zeigen, was alle Hamburger längst wissen: In der Metropole Hamburg lässt es sich gut arbeiten und leben. Wir danken den beteiligten Unternehmen und den Autoren für die zur Verfügung gestellten Texte. Sie alle machen deutlich, dass Hamburg ein Land mit einer bemerkenswerten Wirtschaftsstruktur und höchster Lebensqualität ist. |
Hamburg commands one of the most
importand economic locations in Germany and is respected as a commecial,
transport and service centre. Its harbour and airport are important economic
factors, connecting the free and Hanseatic city with markets all over the world. The city`s economy has had no problems adjusting to the globalisation of the last years. The most important branches of industry are the consumer goods industry, aviation, logistics, chemicals, electro-technology, engineering and ship-building, the petroleum industry, IT and media. Hamburg also offers a high quality of life. There is a mutitude of leisure, sporting, entertainment and cultural opportunites all of which have helped to increase the city`s population and to attract new companies to locate here. New attractions have brought about dynamic development in tourism. Hamburg has recognised its potential and taken important steps to ensure stable expansion for the future. We want to paint a picture of Hamburg`s economy in this brochure. A variety of companies and organisations closely related to business interests present their products and services. However, we also intend to show how well the city stands up to competition from other locations as regards both “hard” and “soft” factors (eg. culture and leisure facilities). Our aim is to show everyone what the inhabitants of Hamburg have known for years: living and working in Hamburg is a fine experience. We would like to thank the companies and authors who have contributed to this brochure with their texts. They all provide the proof that Hamburg offers a remarkable economic structure and a high quality of life. |
